About CMC

The Center for Musculoskeletal Care (CMC), a comprehensive new outpatient facility, opened in March, 2012. CMC brings our spine, sports medicine, autoimmune diseases, arthritis, total joint replacement, pain management, and rehabilitation (physiatry and physical therapy/occupational therapy) services together under one roof. It also integrates our biomedical research and clinical practice efforts so that bone and joint patients can access clinical care and participate in groundbreaking research at a single facility.

The 110,000 square foot facility is located on three floors at 333 East 38th Street. The CMC features an on-site imaging center with the latest equipment, as well as a 7,200 square foot state-of-the-art gym, which includes a performance center for evaluating elite athletes and their ability to return to high-level competition. By combining the talents of internationally-known clinical specialists with an expert team of physical and occupational therapists, radiology professionals, nursing staff, management, and support staff, the CMC transforms the delivery of musculoskeletal care—not only in the New York City area, but around the country.
